Wirewrapcellar was established in May 2010
Thanks to my friend Sandy for a wire-wrapping class for my birthday in 2010, I've had a creative outlet creating patterns on gemstone earrings with wire. I've been inspired mostly by the river and spirals. My 20 years of kayaking and living by rivers helps me create earrings for water enthusiasts. Spirals also inspire me and are usually one of the 1st projects one might learn in a basic wire-wrapping class. There are many videos on YouTube if you want to get started with wire wrapping without a class and local gemfaires always offer classes.
Lots of beads are available online, but look closely especially at gemstone beads since the quality can vary. I've bought too many gemstone beads with holes that are not centered, yet those beads can easily be used in bracelets. One other essential wire wrapping tip is to buy Tool Magic jewelry tools that coats your metal tools to avoid scratches.
Healing Properties of Gemstones and Symbols
I add information on the healing properties of gemstones and some symbols in the description of my items for those of you interested in healing properties of gemstones and symbols. If you know what the Aztec mountain symbol means please email me. Thanks for looking!
